Higher Compensation Not Removing Dissatisfaction in the Work Place
Minneapolis, MN, November 12, 2004 - Copier Careers, a Minneapolis based niche recruiting firm serving the Document Imaging Industry for over 20 years, published their third Service Management Salary Survey revealing some interesting results regarding job satisfaction.
One conclusion is that, while compensation is up within the industry for Service Managers, respondents consistently reported dissatisfaction with their current employers. The survey indicated that a large percent are looking for other opportunities, in spite of the trend for higher compensations. Plus, 33% of the service managers reported that working longer hours and not enough involvement in upper management decisions are two of the main reasons they are looking for other opportunities. Although dissatisfaction is high, turnover in these positions is very low, which indicates that although there is dissatisfaction on the job, it is generally not enough to motivate these Service Managers make the jump to another position. Visit www.copiercareers.com/survey for the entire salary survey study to learn more.
Service Managers answered this survey online anonymously. They logged on to CopierCareers.com and answered a series of questions related to their particular job description. Copier Careers then compares results from last year's study and industry expert Scott Cullen writes and publishes the survey in ENX magazine. Please look for our next survey to be published in the Spring, 2005.
